A complete corner guard roll forming machine tailored to a Colombian customers requirements has just been built, debugged, and prepared for shipment at Cangzhou Guangchi Machinery. The line integrates a punch press, the cold roll forming unit, and a hydraulic pump station for cutting — all working in sequence to turn steel strip into finished 90-degree angle profiles ready for immediate use.

 

What the Machine Produces

 

The corner guards manufactured by this line are used to protect wall edges, furniture corners, and other vulnerable surfaces. The profile is a symmetrical right-angled shape with two equal sides, formed from metal strip ranging from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm in thickness. These are high-volume, repetitive parts, and the Colombian client needed a machine that could deliver consistent quality without constant operator intervention.

 

Dense Hole Patterns — Solved with a Dedicated Punch Press

 

Because the corner guard profiles require many closely spaced holes, the line incorporates a separate 25-ton punch press with an electric clutch drive. This setup easily handles the dense hole punching requirement, ensuring each hole is cleanly pierced without distorting the profile. The punch unit operates in synchronization with the forming speed, so theres no bottleneck and no need for secondary drilling.

 

Roll Forming and Cutting Designed for Clean Results

 

The cold roll forming section uses a center-plate wheel support structure, providing rigid roller alignment for precise 90-degree bends. After forming, the profile moves to the cutting station powered by a dedicated hydraulic pump station (5 kW) . The oil-hydraulic shear delivers cuts that are free of burrs, curls, or edge deformation — a critical detail when the finished angle must fit snugly against walls or furniture without sharp edges.

 

Power, Speed, and Control

 

-Main drive motor: 15 kW

-Cutting pump station: 5 kW

-Speed control: Variable frequency drive (VFD) for smooth, stepless speed adjustment

-Control system: Touchscreen PLC with multi-language support

 

The entire line is controlled from a single touchscreen interface. The system supports multiple languages, so the Colombian operators face no language barrier. Operation requires only one person to oversee the machine — loading coils and collecting finished pieces can be handled by the same operator during normal running.
